Family Sponsored Visa – Basic Requirements
To be eligible for the Family Sponsored Visa, you must meet specific health and character requirements. You need to cover your health costs while in Australia, as you will not be covered by Australia's national health scheme (Medicare) unless your country has a reciprocal health care agreement with Australia. Therefore, it’s advisable to secure health insurance for your stay.
You must also demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay in Australia and that your purpose aligns with the activities in the Sponsored Family stream.
To apply, you must prove to the Immigration Department that:
🔹You are a genuine traveler visiting your family in Australia.
🔹You are sponsored by an eligible relative or an Australian government official.
Family Sponsored Visa Details
The Sponsored Family stream allows you to visit family members in Australia. You must have a sponsor, who may be required to provide a bond.
The application must be made from outside Australia, and the visa will be granted while you are outside the country.
If you hold a Sponsored Family Visitor visa (subclass 679), it remains valid for the duration initially granted.
Number of Visits Granted on This Visa You may be allowed a single entry into Australia. If you wish to return after leaving, you will need to apply for a new visa. 🔹Meet health and character requirements.
🔹Have sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay in Australia.
🔹Intend to engage in activities directly related to your business visit.
Before the Business Visitor Visa is granted, the Australian Immigration Department needs to be satisfied with several aspects of your application.
First, you must have a relevant business background and a valid reason for your visit. Your trip must be genuinely related to business purposes in Australia.
Acceptable business activities under this visa include:
Making general business or employment inquiries.
Exploring, negotiating, signing, or reviewing business contracts.
Participating in official government-to-government meetings.
Attending conferences, trade fairs, or seminars, provided you’re not paid by the event organizers.
It is important to note:
You must not work for or provide services to an Australian business or individual.
You cannot sell goods or services directly to the public while in Australia.
When applying for the Business stream, there’s no requirement to have a sponsor. You can apply independently.

The Holiday Visa under the Tourist stream is designed for individuals who wish to travel to Australia for tourism, leisure, or to visit friends and family. It is not intended for business or medical purposes.

What You Can Do with This Visa:

Clearly demonstrate that your visit is for tourism-related activities.
